A: Love is my big why - not just the butterflies in my stomach or the easy happy love - but the love that gives more than it takes, the simple and seemingly unnoticed love, the extravagant life changing selfless love, and the love that chooses to make the world a little bit more like heaven.
A: I started coming to barre when I was recovering from a major knee injury, and being able to build my strength and recover physically at the same time as be surrounded by such positivity, community, motivation, and encouragement had me fall in love with barre pretty much instantly.

A: The power of the movement and the effectiveness of the exercise. For years prior, I worked out with different methods and exercises, and none have transformed my body, or been as effective as barre.
A: Sweaty, intense, loud, fun, purposeful.
A: I wish so much that I could have realized how much people are just truly worried and consumed with themselves. I worried so much (and sometimes still do) what others think of me. Fear of other's judgements has stopped me from doing so many things that I wish I could have just pushed through. As I have gotten older, I have realized that everyone has their own story and 'stuff'; and we are just all in the same boat often consumed with insecurity and fear. I have felt so much better working at letting go what others think and pursuing what has felt good and right for me.

A: I am constantly trying to challenge myself in new ways - always learning, always growing. Seeking that challenge gets me out of bed in the morning and is what I bring to my classes. I am always trying to push myself to that next level - you with me? ;)
A: Everything. Being a part of this community is so special - no matter what kind of day I am having I always leave the studio feeling better than when I walked through the doors. Sometimes we are the ones motivating and other times we are there to receive that push, that's the beauty of it. It's simple - we RISE together! <3

A: I'm mostly a stay-at-home mom to my two amazing kids. I also work for Newad Media part-time. In my LBK (life before kids), I was a Psychological Assistant where I administered psychological testing on clients.
A: My why is my family. The opportunity to grow, build strength and share my love of movement with every client I see at the studio and every member of the BBS community that I interact with, is another small part of what drives me to do what I do. When I sweat, push myself a little harder, and share my enthusiasm and excitement for barre and the process of doing something for yourself, to better yourself; I become a better person in all areas of my life. To strive to be the best mother, wife, daughter and friend that I can be is my main focus, and the reason I get out of bed every morning.

A: I spend most of my time creating theatre and podcasting, but every so often on every Monday-Friday I coordinate courses for the future doctors of Canada.

A: Being absolutely terrible and shaky during my first class and subsequently being absolutely determined to master these classes. (Spoiler alert: it's an impossible goal, but Im'ma keep trying).
