We have 3 “new” barre tenders on the schedule who are not actually new to barre tending!
Please join us in welcoming Emma Duffy, Kendra Chow and Jenna Kitt to the BBS team. They come with years of barre tending experience from different barre studios in Alberta, and they can’t wait to see you in their classes.
We asked the girls to tell us a little bit about their barre tending history and answer some fun questions:
Emma Duffy | @emmaduffy
I started attending Barre classes in January of 2017 and instantly fell in love! Right away I knew I wanted to teach Barre. At the time I had just completed my Diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy and was starting my Degree in Community Rehabilitation. My education helped me so much in training, participating, and helping others in Barre classes by both programs being focused on anatomy & body mechanics. I soon started my Barre training and was teaching in May of 2017 at a studio in Cochrane and taught there for over a year. I then made the leap to move to Calgary where I started teaching at BBS in October of 2018. I was welcomed with open arms and couldn't be happier to be a part of this amazing tribe!
When asked one thing Emma would tell her younger self; 'Don’t worry, you’ll get there.’
Kendra Chow | @kendra.raechow
I have taught over 300 classes with BBS in Edmonton. My goal when I teach is to strengthen, empower, and elevate each and every person in the room. I bring high energy and motivation to each class, leading with positivity, purpose, and ambition.
Kendra’s motto; ‘Grace will take you places hustling can’t.'
Jenna Kitt | @jennakitt
I have been a part of the BBS Calgary crew on and off for 4 years. I started out working at front desk and then made the leap to instructing. I have been teaching for about 2 years on and off now, depending on my school and work schedule.
‘More flowing, less forcing’ is Jenna’s motto.
