Why do you love Barre? I first fell in love with Barre because it was a challenging workout that was insanely fun and did wonders for my tush! I now love Barre not only for the physical benefits but the amazing energy of the BBS Tribe and the wonderful people I surround myself with every day at the studio.

What is your favourite Barre Body Move? Glute bridge.

What barre star advice would you give to a first time barre guest? We all had our first class at some point! Come prepared to work hard and have fun, the rest will happen naturally.

What is your guilty pleasure? Bad reality television and ice cream.

Why do you love Barre? I love the fusion of yoga, dance and pilates choreographed to great music and what that has done to keep my body in shape.

What is your favourite Barre Body Move? Alternated hip lifts are so cheeky!

What is your guilty pleasure? Watching the show Suits with a big glass of red wine.

Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself? My husband, daughter, parents and my two sisters.

Why do you love Barre? It's a full body workout and really targets all the smaller areas of your body that other exercise doesn't. Plus it's an amazing community of fun, positive, encouraging women.

What is your favourite post workout snack? Anything and everything! I'm super hungry after a good barre burn.

What advice would you give to a first time barre guest? Breathe and don't be afraid of the shakes!

What little things make you smile? That first sip of earl grey tea in the morning. It's best not to talk to me until that's happened. ;)

Rachel Cadrin

Hometown: Lloydminster, AB

Why do you love Barre? I love barre because it is low impact, I have had a few surgeries and found that other workouts are quite painful. I love the energy of a group workout as well.

After Barre I can be found: walking my puppies and working on my Masters in Art Therapy.

What is your guilty pleasure? I love the Real Housewives of anywhere really. I know it's awful but I just get so involved!

What little things make you smile? When my step-son tells me I am beautiful. :)

Marlo Brausse

What is your favourite Barre Body Move? I love them all and am constantly dreaming up new ways to keep my classes challenging with different variations on old classics that we use in classes. I love thigh and seat work at the barre. Booty.

What is your guilty pleasure? Pizza and wine.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I worked for the Government of Alberta for 10 years before opening Barre Body Studio. The last position that I held was as an Assistant Chief Probation Officer. During those years I grew up fast. I left the GOA to follow my dreams. It is never too late to change your destiny.

Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself? My kids. They are constantly asking questions, learning, and looking for guidance. Staying active helps me to be the best version of myself.

Why do you love Barre? It's that sweet barre burn that made me fall in love; I admit, it is a love/hate relationship! It is so intense but the benefits I have seen in my muscles and the improvement in my strength and endurance makes those 'teeny-tiny-little pulses' worth every second.

What is your guilty pleasure? Red wine and chocolate are my biggest weaknesses…and peanut butter.

What is a secret talent of yours? Singing maybe? But it’s not a secret; I sing all the time! Heck, maybe I sound terrible and nobody tells me? Perhaps I simply enjoy the sound of my own voice but I do honestly love to sing.

Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself? My sisters and my momma; they are my besties and I find them hugely inspirational.

Why do you love Barre? It changes your body shape and increases strength without straining or over working your body and muscles. It is by far the most effective form of exercise I have found in years of working out.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I work in adolescent mental health as a therapist. I feel so lucky that I truly love what I do. The challenge and the complexity of my career keeps me loving it! I can’t really picture doing anything else!

Do you carry anything odd with you in your purse or gym bag? Just an inappropriate amount of grip socks.
